Aquadoc Bromine Hot Tub Starter Kit for Spas
The Aquadoc Hot Tub Chemicals Starter Kit is designed to simplify your hot tub maintenance routine. Whether you're a first-time hot tub owner or a seasoned user, this comprehensive kit has everything you need to keep your spa water crystal clear and balanced.
Filling and Draining: To start, fill your spa or hot tub to the appropriate water level, at least halfway up the top skimmer/filter opening. Test the pH and alkalinity levels using the included test strips at least weekly. The ideal pH range is between 7.2 and 7.8, with a total alkalinity between 80 and 140 ppm. The water hardness should be between 200 and 400 ppm. If the levels are not within these ranges, use the provided pH Increaser, pH Decreaser, and Calcium Increaser to make the necessary adjustments.
Sanitizing: Maintain the recommended bromine level at all times. Aquadoc Bromine Tablets should be used to keep the bromine level between 2-3 ppm while the hot tub is in use. Test the bromine level regularly, especially before and after each use, and add Bromine Booster to the water to establish a 30 ppm bromine reserve. The Bromine Tablets in the Spa Floater will evenly distribute the bromine throughout the water, eliminating and preventing dirt buildup and cloudiness.
Weekly Maintenance: Use the test strips to check the water's alkalinity, pH, and calcium hardness levels. Adjust as needed with the pH Increaser, pH Decreaser, and Calcium Increaser. Add Bromine Booster and Bromine Tablets when necessary. After each use, add Spa Defoamer to eliminate any foam and Chlorine-Free Shock to quickly oxidize contaminants.
Importance of Circulation: Ensure to circulate your spa or hot tub water for at least a few minutes after adding any chemicals and before introducing a new product. This will ensure maximum effectiveness and safety. Follow the instructions on each chemical container carefully for the best results.
